Here is a picture from our Mono Lake trip few months back. In order to capture the sunrise, we got up in the wee hours of the morning and drove to South Tufa area on the southern end of Mono Lake. It was a short drive from where we were staying in Lee Vining, California. Though we had to sacrifice some sleep but it was well worth it in the end. :)
